Stephen Budd

Stephen Budd of HBR

Stephen is experienced in leading large-scale market research, tourism and strategy development projects, as well as being skilled in the analysis of complex research data. Additionally he has extensive experience of intensive exploration, scoring, segmentation and analysis of data - from analysis of surveys to predictive modelling.

Stephen has led qualitative and quantitative research for clients such as the Tunisian National Tourist Office, Scottish Government, Shetland Islands Council, VisitScotland, Highland Council, UHI Millennium Institute, Inverness City Centre Management, George Wimpey, Scottish Water and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. He also sits as an industry representative on the Scottish Government's Tourism Framework For Change Market Intelligence committee.

Stephen's experience includes 6 years with the London Stock Exchange, providing reports and research on new products, policy, pricing strategy and business markets. Previously, Stephen worked for an international conference firm, researching and interviewing leading industry practitioners and thinkers. He is a member of the The Scottish Marketing Association and the Scottish Council for Development and Industry.


Vicky Brock

Vicky Brock of HBR

Vicky is experienced in using a wide range of research methodologies, with particular focus on understanding interactions of networks and evaluating online behaviour and trends. She is co-author of the Highland Business Research blog, Tracking Tourism, and led has qualitative and quantitative research for clients such as VisitScotland, Perth and Kinross Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the NHS.

She is a Board Director of the Web Analytics Association, Associate Lecturer in Web Analytics for the University of British Columbia and delivering Web Analytics and eMarketing Course Modules for UHI's Department of Continuing Professional Development. She regularly speak at conferences on web analytics and online research, with recent sessions including the eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit, the Research 2008 Conference, the Internet Marketing Conference and ITB Berlin.

She has provided web traffic analysis, web strategy advice and Internet based research for clients such as HP Europe and the UK Government. Previously, she worked on the direct marketing activity of major brands including Goldfish, BAA and Tesco.
